A kanban for choices
Move each decision forward.
Every card on this board is one open question. Cards start in Weighing while you gather what you need, move to Testing when you are trying something out, and land in Decided once the answer is clear enough to act on.
Add a new decision
Name both options in the title so the card still makes sense a month from now. New cards start in Weighing.
Weighing
2 cards
-
Two apartments: bright and busy, or quiet and far
List what each one gives you on an ordinary Tuesday.
-
Two weekend trips: the coast or the mountains
Choose the one that fits the rest you actually need, not the one you post about.
Testing
2 cards
-
Two laptops for a shared studio
Run your real project on each machine before deciding.
-
Two ways to split the team calendar
Trial the new rhythm for two weeks, then review what got easier.
Decided
1 card
-
Keep the current desk setup
Chosen after a fair week at the standing desk. The old setup still wins on comfort.
How to use the board
The board is deliberately simple. Four moves cover almost every decision you will track.
- Add the question. Name both options in one line, then add the card. It starts in Weighing.
- Move it when the work changes. Forward means you are testing it now. Back means you need more information before you can decide.
- Close the loop. When the answer is clear, move the card to Decided, then write the reason in your own notes.
- Remove what no longer matters. A question that dissolved is still progress. Remove the card and keep the board honest.
- Stay on this device. Your board is saved in this browser only. Clearing site data resets it to the starter cards.
