About the workspace
Two sides, one honest table.
Vis-à-Vis is a small workspace for people weighing a real choice. The name is French for face to face, and the mark is built from the two letters in our domain: two V shapes set side by side.
Face to face, evenly spaced
Vis-à-Vis means face to face. When two options sit across from each other, neither one can hide behind a vague phrase. The mark draws the two V shapes that make up vv, spaced evenly, the way a fair comparison keeps its columns level.
For choices that keep coming back
We are for people with a real decision in front of them: a move, a new role, a school, a shared project, a purchase they are unsure about, or a commitment they keep circling. If you already know the answer, a table will feel unnecessary. If the same question keeps returning, a table may be exactly the right tool.
How we think about choices
Four principles shape every page, every card, and every row in the workspace.
- Fair before fast. A decision made quickly can still be fair. A fair decision is simply easier to live with afterward.
- The same questions, in the same order. Parallel rows are what make an honest comparison possible. Without them, two options are just two stories.
- Ties are allowed. An even row points you toward whatever actually decides the matter, which is often the most useful thing a table can tell you.
- The choice stays yours. We structure the thinking. We never make the call.
What we will not do
We will not rank your options with hidden weights, nudge you toward a winner, or predict how things will turn out. Vis-à-Vis does not store your decisions on a server, and it does not pull live data into the pages you read.
A note on advice. Vis-à-Vis is a thinking tool. It is not financial, legal, or medical advice. When a choice touches money, the law, or your health, pair the table with a qualified professional who knows your full situation.
